A nice book of poetry filled with all kinds of poems. There's darkness as well as light found within them. Some of the poems did take time for me to understand but once I got them, everything made sense and I saw just what I was reading. The poet has done a good job in picking out which poems to show case. He is a physicist whose areas of expertise include the Theory of Abstraction. His contribution to the theory is noteworthy, to say the least. The other areasI found Subhajit Ganguly to be an interesting author. In my experience, people with a scientific mind, which as a physicist he certainly has, arent usually poets, but this author does both. I believe the key to understanding Poems of Darkness lies in the knowledge of what darkness is to the poet. When I think of darkness, I think of something undesirable, but he doesnt see it that way. To the poet, darkness is pure, silent, and good because it speaks to the primordial nature we all still have
