Retraining your mind. That's the premise of this book and although I was a bit sceptical at first, I began to really identify with a lot of the premises of the book. For instance people in extreme pain can use the experience to re-train their mind to control the pain. This goes for physical or emotional pain. George explains how tapping into one's conscious and even subconscious can train your brain to react differently to inner and external stimuli. The Ego chapter was an eye opener. It

Amazing book! This is your guide on how to train your mind and subconscious to heal your body; improve self control and live a happy life.

At first I was a bit sceptical about reading the book cause I am a kind of pissed of with all those "How to" books usually full of stupid, often impractical advice. Also, I don't usually like the imperative tone saying "you must do this". After reading the first few pages, however, I found out I was intrigued by the logical explanations in the book. It is often repeated like a "mantra" we must think positively and it will help us be the most successful in life. People daily share nice morning

Great book about how to use the mind to better yourself. It's the kind of book I've made notes in and will continue to go back for reference.

Theres more to it than just thinking positively. Your brain has the power to control your body, even its healing properties. The chronically sick often find themselves stuck in bed, at home, watching tv, thinking about how miserable they are. All that does is reinforce the fact that you are in pain. You focus on the pain, your body feels the pain stronger, it gets worse. But if you can reprogram your thoughts, you can feel better. Think about it. When you are happy, do you think about your pain?

To be frank, I'm more into those books that have dragons, superheroes, and explosions. However, this book, both informative and uplifting, was an excellent addition to my collection of novels. It proved a wide range of information and provides a guide to understanding and reconstructing yourself. A great read for anybody.
