Discover what really happened in the final days of the doomed planet from the eyes of Sandor—who would go on to become the reluctant Cêpan to Number Nine. Before Number Four and the others arrived on Earth, they lived on the planet Lorien. A planet filled with others who also had extraordinary abilities. A peaceful planet––until the day the Mogadorians attacked, and nearly annihilated, the Loric people. Only a handful of Loric survived the battle. This is Sandor’s story. Sandor was tired of being a teenager, tired of going to school and obeying his teachers and playing by his parents' rules. He enjoyed breaking the rules rather than following them. But when he makes one mistake too many, Sandor's life takes an unexpected turn, and he is forced join the Lorien Defense Academy. Sandor had never believed in the crazy idea that Lorien needed to defend itself—Lorien was a peaceful planet, with no apparent enemies. But when Mogadorians suddenly attack, Sandor learns how real that threat was. Now Sandor is one of only a handful of Loric left alive, and the fate of Lorien is in their hands.

Aaaah!!!!! This one is only the second one of these mini stories that I have given 5 stars to!!! This book takes us to the planet Lorien and what it was like before the Mogadorians invaded. We are reading from Sandors point of view. He is Nines Sepan, and next to Fours Sepan, Sandor is my absolute favorite. I love him. Hes snarky and cocky and I really think it works. Especially knowing what we know about Nine after reading this far. I really enjoyed reading about how Sandor became Nines Sepan.

This I think is the one novella in this series that I have rated at four stars so far. I did this because it was terribly hard to follow and confused the heck out of me. I do realize that the point of view that it featured didn't know everything, but I would have really liked to have known more about what was going on. It was interesting though to see how Loric culture was like and how the people were very oblivious to any danger that they ma be in. It was also interesting to see how Sandor

So much story in 160ish pages. We finally get a look into this "perfect" planet, that I think in other literary imaginations may have been ripe for a dystopian YA novel. Regardless, you see how some find it perfect and how the narrator (Sandor!) finds it frustrating. You see a rebellious teen turn into a mentor. Even though you know how it ends if you've read any of the series books (or just considered the title of the novella), this little story made me genuinely sad. Sad for the destruction of

Once again, the I am Number Four series does not fail to disappoint for a quick and entertaining read. As usual, the only issue I have with these books is that when I get to the end I want more. Writing is excellent, the characters engaging (some are engaging in the way that I want to reach into the pages and punch them). For such a simple premise, the store is really well executed. Highly recommended.

I've been wondering for a while: "When will I finally give 5 stars for a book?"-Here you go.[may contain some tiny spoilers]This book was amazing. When I read the title, I feared that it might be boring or cheesy but it was everything but it. The plot focused on Sandor and his life on Lorien, his views on the prophecy that one day unexpected the planet will be destroyed and how he thought that this was just a hoax and it wouldn't happen (not in his lifetime), how he became an engineering
